Accused Harry Moulder, son of the late Public Works deputy minister Aguy Georgias (Appeared in court with a bandage on his head).

I am writing to provide a detailed account of the ongoing domestic violence trial involving the estate of the late Public Works deputy minister, Aguy Georgias, currently presided over by Magistrate Joy Chikodzore at the Harare Magistrates' Court.

Case Overview and Initial Proceedings
The accused, Harry Moulder, appeared in court with a visible bandage on his head to face charges of assault. The complainant is his sister, Ionna Kiki Kuriakitsa Georgias. The legal proceedings are being led by State Prosecutor Devoted Nyagano-Gwashavanhu, while Harry is represented by defence counsel Charity Tawanda. The trial has been remanded for continuation.

The Incident of April 29
According to the State's account, a dispute erupted at approximately 8:00 p.m. regarding food for Harry's children. Following the initial argument, Harry allegedly left the premises and returned later with a bottle of whisky. The confrontation reportedly began in the kitchen in the presence of their sister, Amanda, before moving to Ionna's bedroom.

It is alleged that Harry assaulted Ionna with his open hands and fists. In response, Ionna reportedly struck Harry on the forehead with a walking stick, causing the injury observed in court. The matter was subsequently reported to the police, leading to Harry's arrest.

Defence and Counter-Claims
Harry Moulder has pleaded not guilty, asserting that he was the victim of the altercation rather than the aggressor. His defence highlights longstanding familial tensions following their father's passing. Harry claims that Ionna has frequently provoked him by questioning his paternity and expressing deep resentment regarding inheritance matters.

Allegations of External Influence
A significant portion of the defence involves allegations against Russell Goreraza, son of former First Lady Grace Mugabe. Harry claims that Ionna used her alleged relationship with the well-connected Goreraza to influence the police and the prosecution. He testified that Ionna threatened him with arrest and "disappearance" via the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO), suggesting that justice has been compromised by external political influence.

During her testimony, Ionna denied these claims, stating she never confided in Harry about her private life. While she initially claimed to only know Mr. Goreraza through media reports, she later admitted under cross-examination that they had met at various political events.
